I just bought a small one at an antique mall. I don't know what I'm going to put in it. I also bought several old canning jars to put buttons in.

My mom was known for her collection of antique apothecary/candy jars when I was little. She had them displayed on a table in the living room and they were full of real ribbon candy and colorful candy canes and butterscotches and other colorful candies. When we remodeled the kitchen and vaulted the ceiling she moved them to the top of the cabinets and replaced some of the real candies with fake candies covered in glitter. Oh, and she also put fake donuts in one. Don't do that. Blech. But I still loved the jars. Apothecary jars will always bring back a flood of childhood memories.

I *love* apothecary jars too! I have been trying to find some good ones for our bathroom. Sadly, the ones I love are on the pricier side. I can dream though...
